Colette Rolland is Professor Emeritus at the University Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her research interests lie on topics such as conceptual modelling, methodologies and support tools, method engineering, requirements engineering, business process modelling, co-evolution, IS and business alignment and change management. She has been involved in a large number of European research projects and she is used to lead cooperative research projects with companies. Colette has an extensive experience in supervising PhD theses (110); she published about 350 reviewed papers in Journals and Conferences, cumulated 10000 citations, has been editor of 30 Conference Proceedings, is member of the board of 10 International Journals and has delivered more than 60 keynote talks in International Conferences. She is an IFIP officer, IEEE member and received several awards such as IFIP Silver Core, IFIP service Award, Franqui’s Foundation award (Belgium) and European award of ‘Information Systems’. She is Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Geneva.

Professor dr. Anna Maria Di Sciullo has contributed to natural language science and technology throughout her career. She received scholarships from the Research Council of Canada and the Fonds de recherche du Qu〓bec for postdoctoral studies at MIT. She occupied visiting scientist positions at MIT and Harvard, and is Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics and the Cognitive Computation Program at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Recipient of numerous awards, including her election as Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and her nomination for the Governor General’s Award for Innovation, Dr. Di Sciullo has published 22 books and over 200 papers during her career and has received research grants in excess of $8.5 Million. Her work in theoretical linguistics, and in particular in the asymmetry of natural language gave rise to MIT Press and Oxford University press publications. Her work in Natural Language Processing led to the formulation of the Asymmetry Recovering Parser, providing deterministic parses for linguistic expressions. She also engineered a search engine sensitive to asymmetric relations, which has been used by the Government of Quebec to search and retrieve online legal information. Her recent work in natural language and mathematics led to the engineering of a sentiment mining system based on a compositional calculus applied on asymmetric relations. She is the first author of two granted patents on sentiment analysis. She founded the Federation on Natural Language Processing, which brings together main actors in the area of theoretical linguistics, computational linguistics and information technology. She founded the International Network on Biolinguistics bridging biology, linguistics, and Natural Language Processing. More recently, she co-founded Generative Mind, which aims to narrow down the gap between machine intelligence and human ability for language. The technology will be used to magnify the analysis of unstructured text to inform decision-making, improve chatbot support systems to resolve issues more effectively and go as far as supplementing complex robotic systems to make artificial life feel human.
